Maintaining a 0% landfill rate for three consecutive years is a core KPI of EU CSRD ESRS E5 (Resource Use and Circular Economy) and represents excellent performance significantly above the medical device industry average.
The Company defines and manages the actual and potential impacts of waste generated throughout its blood glucose meter and test strip manufacturing processes (resource depletion and carbon emissions from the discharge of waste synthetic resin, waste glass, and waste boards; soil and groundwater contamination risks arising from chemical leaks during transportation and treatment). Operations are based on three axes: thorough source separation, transparency through the Allbaro system, and supply-chain environmental risk management (annual on-site due diligence).
For the reporting period, the assessment of whether i-SENS sites (Seocho, Wonju, Songdo, Songdo No. 2, and China Jiangsu) are located near IUCN protected areas, Key Biodiversity Areas (KBA), or endangered-species habitats is disclosed via an LEAP four-step analysis (Locate, Evaluate, Assess, Prepare) integrated into the 06-9 TNFD Index chapter immediately prior to publication. Quantitative data on this page (E5-1 ~ E5-4) will be reflected in the next update.
